I took this photograph while visiting a friend at Manchester College last Winter. I had made this particular drive many times and I enjoyed/hated it. At this point in my journey as a photographer I was just begining to realize that beauty is everywhere even in the lonely sad wintery drives.

This photograph for me brings to memory sad songs on violin as the clouds roll by. It reminds me of Indiana during the winter months. Seasons are so prominent in our lives and this reminds me of that particular time and where I am now.

Clouds were gathering, the road was strecthing ever on, seemingly without end.

But the sun was begining to peek out from behind the gathering storms to say hello.

So above all other things about this photo I find hope. A lonely hope, found only in God and the wonderful beauty that we are not alone no matter how long and lonely the road seems.

Dear reader,

I have mislead you for this post has nothing to do with The Newsies.

This is just newsies in general.

I have been incredibly busy.  I am sorry I have ignored you, you are not forgotten, just being ignored while I write twenty page papers.  I hope you understand.  We've been through this before sadly.

Secondly, I finally fixed and updated the layout! Yay, I've been meaning to do this since like the twelth of this month.  The links are currently broken, not all of them are up, and I'm tired soooooo that means I'll deal with it later.

Thirdly, do you like my photos?  If you do, and know other peolple who like photographs, you should go to my Flickr account and check some of them out.  If you would like a print, I would be more than happy to sell you one.

Attention Huntington University students, over the next few weeks I am offering to do hour long portrait sessions for only 20 dollars.  That's cheap.  An hour.  Lots of photos.  Lots of fun.  Christmas portraits FTW?!  Bring out your favorite most horrible sweater and lets have some fun.  Send family members pictures of you with your friends.  Groups also avaliabe.  Prices almost the same.  You pay for the session not for the individual.

The video you are about to watch made me cry.

I know, it's not that hard to do, but this didn't just make me well up or get misty eyed. Tears fell down my face.

This gives me hope. This shows me I'm not alone, as a Christian, as a human, that we are not alone and we were never meant to be alone.

This is advent. Let the great conspiracy begin.
